Aviva was celebrating the second year of its community fund, which distributed money to grassroots projects, clubs and groups all over the UK.

Martin was one of the world's most renowned and sought after documentary photographers. His elevation and celebration of the mundane, the everyday, of quirks, particularly with British life made him perfect for visiting provincial groups which covered everything from a brass bands, rugby clubs and a veteran's association.

The final work appeared across national, local and arts press and the shots were hosted in an exclusive online exhibition on the Aviva Community Fund website.
